How we think shapes what we do. And what we think is shaped by how we see things - both how we see things now as well as how we've chosen to see things in the past.
So any start to a new way of thinking means that we must first understand where we've fallen into 'mind traps'. Traps that tell us all that we've we seen is all there is to see; that all we've interpreted is how it was, and was what others meant it to be.
Because our mind is trained to want answers, when there are none, we will fill the gaps. Making assumptions rather than check, we form views rather than question and make up our stories to believe rather than challenge. Crazily, at times, we'll lead our lives entirely around these assumptions, views and stories so we can justify our feelings, thoughts and actions. And make our decisions based on them.
